Meet the Founder
Amanda Huff Golston, M. Ed.
Founder, Literacy Specialist, and Texas Exemplary Designated Teacher
Amanda Huff Golston is a dedicated educator with more than 20 years of experience helping students achieve academic success. As a Reading Specialist K-12 and ESL Certified educator, she specializes in developing individualized learning experiences that strengthen literacy skills, build confidence, and inspire a love of learning.
Amanda believes every student can succeed when provided with expert instruction, encouragement, and a supportive learning environment. Through North Star Literacy Academy, she partners with families to help students overcome challenges and reach their highest academic potential.

How does the tutoring process begin?
After you reach out, we schedule an exploratory call to understand your child’s areas of need and challenges. From there, you will fill out a form so that we can develop a personalized plan for your child.
What are your payment terms?
Payment is due at the time of service. It is $75 per hour. Cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance in order to avoid a charge for the session.
Can you work with my child on work from school?
Absolutely! Many students have work from school that they need support in and we provide help with classroom assignments. Communication with teachers, counselors, and administrators is also provided.
